I had a lot fo trouble writing this song (yes I know it's very simple)
It, just like lines was supposed to be on the original Idea I had for
another album. I wished to write a metaphor for apathy caused by college
byt comparing it to crossing the street without looking. But I felt the
music didn't capture it and I wasn't sure what to say. But the "I say
I say" part really stuck with me. Then Charolettesville happend and so
apparently it was relevent to write about Nazis. My generation, talking
about Nazi and it being relevent. Had they known 70 years ago that that
would be happening they might have just given up. Anyways I kept the
writing short and sweet and here it is. Don't tolerate hate and racism.
That's it, and if people unify under the banner of hate and rascim, then
tell them to go away they don't belong here. No matter wehereever "here" is.
lyrics
I say I say go away
they say they say they will stay
We don't want hate or bigotry here
there's no place for you now just go
I say I say go away
they say they say they will stay
The racist hate and chants don't belong
there's no place for you here just go
I say I say go away
They say they say they will stay
They brought their torches but we blew them out
There's no place for you here now just go
Don't look don't stop you just go
Don't look don't stop you just go
Don't look don't stop you just go
Don't look don't stop you just go
DOn't look don't stop you just go
